So, you think that the recently announced Nikon Android-powered camera is awesome? Just wait until you see what Samsung just unveiled! The Korean company made the rumored Samsung Galaxy Camera official for all of you, people, who like to take stunning photographs and share them with friends instantly.

What you need to know about the Samsung Galaxy Camera is that it has a 16-megapixel BSI CMOS 1/2.3″ sensor, optical image stabilization, 23mm aperture lens, and optics that allow 21x super long zoom for capturing the action as if you were up-close. In case you aren’t too skilled of a photographer, the “Smart Pro” technology will help you out with its various shooting modes. Rest assured that Samsung is also throwing in photo editing tools and utilities that make sharing images online even more enjoyable. Videos can be captured at 1080p at 30 frames per second or in slow motion at 720p at 120 frames per second.

The screen on the Samsung Galaxy Camera is no less impressive – a 4.8-inch HD Super Clear LCD panel with pixel density of 308ppi. The processor inside it hums at 1.4GHz and has four cores at its disposal. Android 4.1 Jelly Bean comes pre-installed, and 3G or 4G connectivity will be available in addition to Wi-Fi. In case you are wondering, the device is 19.1 millimeters thick and weighs 305 grams.
